Watering–

On the other hand, if you give less amount of water to the plant then it will die because plants use water for many works to keep them alive. Plants wilt when not watered properly.
To check if you watered enough your plant poke your finger into the soil till your knuckle if it is dry then water it if it feels moist then your plant don,t need water. Pour water at room temperature.
Pot–


Yes, the pot you need to select the right pot for your plant. There must be a drainage system in your pot or container. Most of the pots have a draining hole at the bottom which can save the plant from overwatering because over and under-watering can kill a plant. So do check before buying.
Concrete pots absorb water so keep this in your mind. You can use plastic pots and containers as well.

Fertilizer–


Fertilizers contain nutrients that are required by plants that include nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. Fertilize your houseplant from time to time. Do not overfertilize because it can burn their roots and stop their growth. How much to fertilize depends on which type of plant you have.
Most of the plants do not need to be fertilized during winter and fall.
Repotting–


Repot the plant when needed to check this remove the plant from its pot and see if the roots are circling at bottom of the container if yes then you need to repot the plant into a larger container. Most of the plants grow in spring rather than in other seasons this is the best time to repot your indoor plants.
If you don’t want to repot it you can also trim the roots of the plant.
Pruning–


Regularly prune your plants to avoid overgrowing. Pruning helps in the plant’s shape and direction to grow which makes them look good. Remove dead or diseased leaves and stem to avoid spreading.
Cultivate–


Some plants send new sprigs at the bottom of the plant or sprout. You can divide it and put it into a new container or vase. This is a great way to have more plants without spending a single penny.
Cleaning–


Keep your plant clean in order to have a healthy plant. If your plant has feathery leaves so gently shower it with water to remove dust from them and if they have smooth leaves you can use a cloth to wipe the dust off.
Insect Pest–


If you saw any insect on your plant use pesticide to control it because insects and pests are deadly for the plants if you don,t want to use chemicals then you can also use neem oil you can also rub alcohol on leaves to avoid mealybugs.
